Prague!! Finally…

Well, I’m going to try to catch up here. Class has settled a bit so I have a little breathing room.

We landed 3 weeks (!!) ago – hard to believe it’s been that long… Mostly, we’ve been going to class (Sarah) and working (Pam) so it’s been business as usual. Kinda. In a city with amazing buildings everywhere you look.

Many of the sidewalks are made of beautiful patterned cobbles.

On our first few days of exploring, we had dinner in an old cave and wandered around the outside of the castle grounds. We haven’t yet been to the castle but it’s on the list …

Then my sister (#3) came to visit and we went to a farmers market on the banks of the Vltava River then went on a river cruise the next day. And wandered around the city some more. Did I mention the buildings are gorgeous here?!? As are the fruits and veggies, to be honest 😋 And the doors. There are some freaking amazing doors here.

And finally, during our wanders around the city, Pam and I saw a sunset rainbow ❤️ We first went to a concert in a church which was incredible – a 6 piece string ensemble plus a soprano and the organ. They played some of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a violinist’s fingers move that fast in my life. And he hit every single note.

That’s all for now – it’s been a wonderful experience living here as almost-locals for the past few weeks. Food’s been great, most locals are friendly, most people have at least a passing acquaintance with English… I really love this city so far.
